Today you are one step closer to a new you, where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being. Are you feeling stuck in destructive behavior patterns, struggling to grow in a relationship or having relational problems? Are you suffering from a major loss, life changes or stress? As a therapist, my focus is to help provide you the opportunity to gain insight into your life.

The goal of therapy is to provide clients with the chance to approach relationships with new tools and skills with which they can live their lives successfully. Do you need a new method to use in your relationships? Or do you need guidance in parenting a child with behavioral issues, school challenges or ADHD? Whatever the issue, the therapeutic relationship is essential in achieving change and I make every effort to make therapy sessions an emotionally safe place to experience, process and resolve the issues that are coming between you and your happy life filled with contentment.

 

It is my desire to help people improve the quality of their lives, by assisting clients in the exploration of their challenges and helping them to find ways to empower themselves to discover solutions. Training and experience have taught me that people sometimes need the opportunity to explore their emotions and thought processes in order to find peace.  The goal of working together, is to help people discover who they are and work with their strengths to create a new way of living. I approach treatment holistically and integrate the mind, body and spirit of each individual. My practice fosters a non-judgemental, caring and peaceful atmosphere. I am a Christian and operate from a Christian view. I do not require my clients to be Christian, nor do it try to "convert" my clients to Christianity. However, if the client wishes,  I am willing and able to incorporate Spiritual enrichments into the sessions whenever possible and appropriate.

 

Relational issues, anxiety, panic, depression, and PTSD are my area of focus for which Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the most effective treatment. I have worked closely with children and their families to help them find healing and change in behavioral and system patterns. I utilize a holistic appraisal and assessment process in which each area of one’s life is explored in order to discover a healthy balance (physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual). While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By addressing negative emotions, behaviors and thought processes through a number of goal-oriented procedures, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. 
 

I use EMDR and Neurofeedback to help clients heal from past trauma and experiences which are holding them back. My goal with clients is to explore how the past is "present" in your life today.
